Sehgal Educational Trust

Sehgal Educational Trust (SET), a public charitable trust, was established by the promoters of Sehgal Neo Hospital in the year 2011 with the intention of helping students of any subject or background, who had the will to study but lacked financial means. The trustees are of the opinion that the groundwork for a better life lies in education. It is a powerful catalyst for social transformation. It is the medium that gives us the skills, intellect, information and knowledge to know, understand and respect the duties we have towards our family, society and our planet. Education empowers an individual to earn their livelihood and also increases one's awareness on a range of issues such as healthcare, one rights, appropriate social behavior etc.The trustees of SET also believe that education is the vehicle to help poor families out of poverty and offer support to the deserving as mentioned below:

1. They identify and fund the education of meritorious and bright students from economically disadvantaged families and provide financial aid till required
2. Funds granted to rehabilitate people who suffered devastating losses in the Kerala floods in the year 2018.
3. Scholarships were provided to children of the employees of Sehgal Neo Hospital who were diligent and meritorious students. In order to encourage and support them, a need based financial scholarship was started on a yearly basis. The academic performance of these students was monitored and linked to the continuation of scholarship.
4. Financial grants are provided to organizations, which work towards promoting as well as preserving our exceptional culture and art form. It is important to create awareness about the importance of distinctive culture and arts heritage amongst our children and inculcating a sense of responsibility and citizenship in them.
5. Offer annual scholarships of school students who are unable to continue their education due to financial constraints.

The trustees of Sehgal Educational Trust, Dr Narin Sehgal and his wife Dr Mridu Jain Sehgal firmly believe that without continued investment in the education and training of healthcare professionals, the vision of high quality, guideline-driven, evidence-based health care will never come to fruition.

Under the aegis of this trust, the hospital conducts various educational and training sessions for healthcare professionals including:

• Monthly CMEs for doctors and General Practitioners
• Live workshops covering topics such as TLH and Hysteroscopy
• Weekly learning programs for in-house consultants

Our senior management is actively involved in educational activities that serve to develop the knowledge, skills and professional performance of doctors. These programs also help doctors improve the relationships that they maintain with their patients, as well as with their professional community.

Our trustees firmly believe that continued investment in the education and training of today’s youth is critical for the country’s growth and development. The best way to unleash the potential of the human mind is education.
