Ambulance Services

We have two well equipped patient transport ambulances available for transporting patients to and from the hospital. For availing this service, please contact us on 8800297600 or 011-45565656.

 

General Guidelines, Rules and Regulations:

  1. Food & Beverage : The dietary requirements of the patient will be catered to as recommended by the dietician at the time of serving the meals. The ala carte orders will be billed additionally.
  2. Room Facilities: On completion of the admission procedure, the patient will be escorted to the allocated room by hospital personnel. He/ She will also brief you regarding the room facilities.
  3. Your room has been specially designed to provide you with the comfort of a home ambience. All rooms are air-conditioned. A nurse call system is located at the patient’s bedside and in the bathroom for easy contact with the nurse.
  4. Please do not hesitate to use the nurse- call button in case you need any assistance.
  5. All financial transactions are accepted in the form of Credit/Debit card, NEFT, UPI & Cash (Maximum cash deposit limit against one encounter / admission is INR 2,00,000/- only).
  6. Refunds, if any, shall be made after the discharge. Mode of refund shall be either Cheque / NEFT. Cash refund is not allowed except where refund amount is less than INR 10,000/-.
  7. A regular update will be provided on the interim bill status and attendants are requested to deposit the outstanding amount. Interim bill is based on the details available at the given point of time. Final bill may vary from the interim bill.
  8. Credit Facility: Credit Facility is offered only in case of corporate and insurance/ TPA’s having valid tie – ups.
  9. Room Vacation: The attendants shall vacate the room within one hour whenever the patient is shifted to any critical care area or for a surgery/procedure. In case an attendant wants to retain the room (subject to availability of room), the room charges will be applicable in addition to the patient room charges / package.
  10. Patient will not be shifted for elective surgery/ procedure without financial clearance.
  11. Please do not keep any cash, mobile, jewellery and personal documents unattended in the patient’s room. Hospital will not be responsible for loss of any such personal belongings.
  12. Violence against medical, paramedical, other hospital staff and damage to hospital property are punishable offences.
  13. Please conserve water & electricity.

Our Services and Facilities:

Housekeeping:

  1. Housekeeping will clean your room thrice a day to maintain hygiene.
  2. To save water, please ensure minimal wastage.
  3.  Please do not flush solid waste such as cotton, bandages, sanitary napkins, etc. in the toilets.
  4. We solicit your cooperation and support in keeping the hospital clean.
  5. Chewing paan or betel nut, smoking or drinking alcohol is not permitted in the hospital premises.
  6. Please do not dispose of any waste or rubbish anywhere other than the waste bins provided for the purpose.

Help us in making the hospital an “environment friendly zone”.

  1. Payments are to be made in advance and whenever an intimation for advance deposit is given to you, please clear the same.
  2. For any problem regarding billing, please contact billing in-charge or front office head.
  3. Bedding from outside is not allowed in the hospital.
  4. Entry to the patient room is strictly on the basis of the attendant/ visitor pass. Attendant & visitor's Pass - One pass will be issued at the time of admission for patients getting admitted. Only one attendant is allowed to stay with the patient on a 24 hrs basis (overnight).
  5. The passes are non-transferable. Also, they are returnable at the nursing stations at the time of discharge.
  6. The attendants shall vacate the room within one hour whenever the patient is shifted to any critical care area or for a surgery/procedure. In case an attendant wants to retain the room (subject to room availability, the room charges will be applicable in addition to the patient room charges / package.
  7. The attendant waiting area is on the ground floor. Attendants of all ICU patients can also wait in the waiting area on the ground floor. (Only one ICU attendant may stay overnight).
  8. For reasons of dietary restrictions and infection control please do not bring any eatables to the hospital from outside. All dietary requirements of the patient are taken care of by us.
  9. Attendants shall have their meals at the cafeteria or may order from the kitchen.
  10. Please do not bring flowers to the hospital.
  11. Please do not bring children below the age of twelve (12). This is a precautionary measure as children are more prone to contact infections.
  12. Please do not make use of candles, dhoop, agarbattis, lighters, matchboxes etc. as they are a potential hazard in a hospital and they can also trigger our sensitive smoke detector / fire alarm system.
  13. The entire hospital premises is a “No Smoking Zone.” Consumption of alcohol or any other type of intoxicating substance is strictly prohibited inside the hospital.

Issue & return of passes to patient / attendant:

  1. In case any patient /attendant requests for an additional pass, the patient would submit a written request for the same. The application would be approved by the approving authority in writing with the date of validity mentioned. On production of approved application, the additional pass would be issued by the admission desk, which would mention the date of validity on the pass itself.

Special cases where additional passes can be issued:

  1. In case of child when both the parents need to stay. An additional attendant pass can be issued with prior approval.
  2. In case of nuclear family where one of the parent is admitted & there is a child in the family, who needs to stay with the parents. An additional pass can be issued with prior approval.
  3. Any other circumstance with the prior approval of the approving authority.

Issue & return of passes to patient / attendant:

  1. Wash hands/ use hand rub solution before and after touching the patient.
  2. Please do not sit on the patient bed or touch the surgical sites, dressings or any tubing attached to the patient (IV cannula, urinary catheter, ryles tube etc).
  3. Do not enter the patients room if you are suffering from cough, fever, skin disease, conjunctivitis.
  4. Visit to be limited to one person for each patient at any one time.
  5. Keep to the assigned visiting times.
  6. Do not bring flowers/ fruits/ food for the patients as these may carry infection.
  7. All blood, body fluids and tissue are potentially infectious.
  8. Do not litter. Use black bag for disposal of general waste.
  9. Strictly adhere to visitor's policy to provide safer environment to your patient.

Admission in the hospital is done through Casualty and OPD for patients.

  • Through Casualty (Emergency  Patients)

  • If needs to be admitted, bed availability is confirmed from admissions team
  • If bed is likely to be available shortly, the patient is made to wait in Casualty under supervision of the doctors.
  • On availability of the bed, patient is shifted/ admitted to the available room.
  • If there is no availability of the bed, patient is appropriately referred to other hospitals.
  • Through OPD (Stable Patients who have been attended to in OPD by a consultant)

There is no system of confirmed booking, however, a tentative booking note is maintained. The patient / attendant is asked to confirm the availability of the booking before coming to the hospital.

  • Patient advised admission in OPD have to  be admitted subject to availability of desired bed category after completing due formalities at Admission desk.

  • On-line booking for admissions is not done

Pre-Admission

  • We encourage you to pre-register with us as early as possible to ensure admission without any complications.

  • Pre-registration can be done in person at our 24-hours Admission desk located in the A wing of the Hospital.

  • For patients covered under medical insurance, it is mandatory to get an approval for cashless facility from the TPA before the patient gets admitted. However, if the patient gets admitted in emergency, then the approval for cashless facility must be produced before the discharge. We will facilitate your request with the TPA & try to procure the approval from TPA before discharge but the prime responsibility remains with the Patients only.

  • Planned admission for Day Surgery or Elective Surgery has to be completed two hours before the surgery commences or as advised by your doctor.

  • In order to avoid unnecessary delays, please be punctual so that the admission procedures and tests, if required, can be completed in time.

  • Please choose the room category carefully; charges will be applicable according to the room type.

  • For planned admissions 100% of the estimate.

  • For emergency admissions 80% of the estimate 

  • For patient availing insurance facility, advance will be taken wherein the patient walks in without an authorization letter from the TPA.  Even in case of authorization letter nominal deposits can be asked to recover non-payable items. Unutilized amount, if any, will be refunded at the time of discharge.

  • When a patient is to be admitted and the desired category of bed is not available, the patient may opt for the next available category bed & would be charged as per the category of room chosen.

  • Booking amount shall only be adjusted in the final bill.

  • During Stay in the Hospital (Admission)

    General Guidelines for Billing

  • The bed/room tariff billing cycle is calculated on a 24-hours basis from 12 noon of the date of admission.

  • A grace period of 2 hours is permitted at the time of discharge. The billing will stop on intimation from the ward even though the patient has to stay till the clearance is received from the TPA / paying authorities in cases of patients holding health insurance.

  • Estimation of Hospital Bills : Our staff will generate an estimation of your hospital charges during admission. The estimation does not include doctor’s professional fees, cases with complications and charges for any procedure not specified at the time of admission. Therefore, we seek your understanding of the fact that in some cases the actual amount may vary from the estimate given.

  • 8 hours of stay will be treated as Half Day.

  • When the patient is shifted to ICU or for a surgery/procedure, the room will be vacated. However, if the patient’s relatives wish to retain the room (subject to availability of room), the normal room charges and food services will be levied as the room category.

  • The normal discharge time is between 09:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Two hours grace time is granted during the day of discharge.

  • Discharge may take 3 – 4 hours, post the treating consultant’s written instructions. In case final authorization is required from the TPA or insurance there might be additional time taken for discharge process.

  • We will start processing your final hospital bill once your Doctor deems you fit for discharge. On receipt of the final bill, please settle the payments, understand the prescribed medication from the nursing staff and collect your belongings. Please inform the ward staff nurse if you prefer an earlier discharge.

  • It is mandatory that the original reports and the films are sent to the TPA, however copy of the reports will be provided to the patient.  Additional films/CD may be obtained by paying additional charges which would be borne by the patient.

  • In case there is a delay in authorization, partial authorization or denial of authorization from the Insurance/TPA, the hospital cannot be held responsible, and 100% of estimated cost and/or the difference of estimated cost to be deposited at the time of admission or before the surgery.

  • Please note there are a few charges, for e.g. telephone charges, extra diet, room retainment, non-medical exclusions and non-payable items that TPA or insurance companies do not cover. These entities are charged from the patients at the time of discharge.

  • For death case: Please contact Medical Record Department within 21 days of birth between 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm on working days at number 011-45565656 extn. 516.

  • Confidential Feedback Form: You are requested to fill-up the Feedback Forms available at Nursing Station/Reception. You can also share your candid observation about the service rendered by the hospital. The feedback form may be dropped in the suggestion box kept near Nursing Stations in Wards or Reception. Your suggestions will go a long way in improving our services further.
