Health Camps

SNH is also holding quarterly camps at Ramgarh (Dutkanedhar) where two / three specialty doctors visit the Tulsi Remote clinic and provide free consultation and medicines. At times, doctors also carry out minor procedures if required.

Camp 1

The first health camp was held on 18th march 2021. Village Ways Charitable Trust in collaboration with Sehgal Neo Hospital successfully conducted a one-day free of cost dental camp at Tulsi Tele-Health Care Clinic-Ramgarh.

The dental camp was supported by our dental surgeons-Dr Shrey Dhawan and Dr Shamindhi Dhawan

The dental camp catered to patients from 20 villages in Ramgarh block. All treatments were provided free of cost. The treatment at the dental camp was not limited to only tooth extractions. Tooth restorations and fillings were also provided to a large number of patients.

Total 98 patients were given treatment and consultations at the dental camp. Kudos to the two dental surgeons who worked relentlessly from morning till late evening in their endeavor to attend to every patient .

Hygiene kit containing toothpaste & a tooth brush Medicines were dispensed to the patients free of cost (antibiotics, painkillers, mouthwash, and dental gel).

The medicines and hygiene kit were donated to Tulsi Tele-health Care Clinic, Ramgarh for the dental Camp by Sehgal Neo Hospital.

Awareness of oral health was also promoted by the way of educational videos on brushing techniques, health hazard due to tobacco use, and general overall oral health and hygiene improvement methods.

Dr Shrey and Dr Shamindhi were ably supported by  Tulsi Tele-health Care’s clinical team comprising 1 Staff Nurse and 5 Health Assistants who participated in managing the dental Camp

Camp 2

Next SNH participated in a surgical camp which was held at Ramgarh on March 30, 2021 which was attended by Dr Narin Sehgal- HOD , Bariatric, Minimal Access and General Surgery, Sehgal Neo Hospital. He attended to many patients who presented the following complaints:

  • Pain abdomen
  • Urinary complaint, burning, pain,  blood in urine , difficulty in passing urine
  • problems in defecation, pain, bleeding,
  • Swelling or lump/ bump anywhere on the body.
  • Hernia Thyroid swelling ( in front of neck)

Camp 3

The third camp was held in the first week of October 21 and was supported by SNH with three senior doctors. The specialities were Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Dermatology: The consultants who attended the camp were :

  • Dr Alka Jain – Senior Consultant & HOD - Gynae & Obs
  • Dr Mridu J Sehgal – Senior Consultant & HOD- Paediatrics & Neonatology
  • Dr Manoj Jain- Senior Consultant- Dermatolgy

We are so proud to share that a total of 130 patients were attended to on the day of the camp

These Senior doctors also provid backend support to Tulsi Tele-health Care. Their visit and face to face interaction with the patients helps to demystify tele health care and provide a Trust towards tele care which endeavours to provide specialist care versus  pharmacist sterioid quick fix based medicines.

Camp 4

Dental Camp at Supi

Post the success of the dental camp at Ramgarh, another dental camp was organised on 12 November 2021 in Supi, Bageshwar, a remote village in Uttarakhand. Village Ways Charitable Trust in collaboration with Sehgal Neo Hospital successfully conducted a one-day free of cost dental camp at Tulsi Tele-Health Care Clinic-Ramgarh.

The dental camp was supported by our dental surgeons – Dr. Shrey Dhawan and Dr. Shamindhi Dhawan.

The camp catered to patients from villages around Bageshwar block. All treatments were provided free of cost. The treatment at the dental camp was not limited to only tooth extractions. Tooth restorations and fillings were also provided to a large number of patients.

Over a 100 patients were given treatment and consultations at the dental camp. Hats off to the two dental surgeons who worked from morning till late evening in order to attend to every patient.
